The Gardening Service has been running for some years now, funded by the Relief in Need Fund. We are able to assist a number of people who through age or ill-health are unable to look after their own gardens and can’t afford to pay a gardener.
Charnwood Garden Services Ltd currently take part in this scheme. Grants are offered for one season at a time (April – November) and may be for one-off garden clearance or ongoing garden maintenance. Successful applicants to the Garden Maintenance Scheme will have their gardening needs assessed by Charnwood Garden Services who will then carry out the work to keep your garden tidy and safe. The Benefit Secretary will visit once a year to re-assess your gardening needs.
